I am playing at decadence today. I slept in. I surfed Ravelry. I am squishing yarn and daydreaming about what it wants to be. I am perusing back issues of Interweave Knits. I am having coffee roasted at Happy Creek Coffee in my favorite Spud and Chloe coffee mug. For breakfast we are having fresh bakery croissants with black raspberry jam. I am typing this as dappled sunlight filters through the trees and lands on my desk. This morning feels very decadent, indeed.
Cottage Covets: Today I am coveting this sock yarn from lanitiumexmachina on Etsy. Strange, how I have a skein of Cherry Tree Hill in Peacock, which is very similar, however I want this like nobody's business. SO PRETTY!!!
Tranquil Home: It has been quiet and breezy here. Not a cloud in the sky. I love it when its peaceful like this. Tonight it will be dinner on the grill and the sound of crickets. Tranquil home indeed.
There has been much discussion around the Tranquil Cottage recently about getting chickens. I would be interested to see if anyone has any input. I am finding the Urban Chicken Podcast to be a great source of information. It will be fun to watch this venture take shape.

Getting Needled: There has been very little knitting going on this week. I worked a few rounds of my Harvest Dew socks. They are so bright and lovely, yet I am not knitting on them much. I want to cast on for other things, but can't decide what. That in itself is a problem. Most of my yarn is still in storage from our move so my options are quite limited. |
Lets make a toast: Its only 3:15, so I am raising a glass of water today. To possibilities. I love the unlimited possibility of a fresh skein of yarn. In an un-plowed field. In the vision of the rest of your days. We are still adapting to our new way of life. From urban sprawl to anything-but-sedate country life. I look at the possibilities of my life, my home and my craft and I am struck today by the limitless possibilities. And I want to do it all.
