Cottage Covets: I am coveting yarn. That sounds hilarious coming from someone with a stash as large as mine, but there you have it. I have been on a designing spree and have several patterns ready for swatching and testing but the majority of my yarn is still packed in storage. Oh, you have no idea of the willpower it is taking me...wait. You wouldn't be here if you didn't love yarn, too. Maybe you do know.
Tranquil Home: This weekend I went outside and took a look at the garden. I have not one but THREE tomatoes! I also have squash and cucumbers blossoming. Sadly the peppers aren't looking so hot. something chewed the heck out of one of my poblano pepper plants. So much for getting enough peppers to make chile rellenos. In other news, the roses are flourishing and I have seen a few Black Eyed Susans popping up in the garden. Tonight I am making sauteed chicken breasts, stuffing and green beans with slivered almonds.

Getting needled: Harvest Dew Socks are DONE! I loved the pattern so much I immediately cast on for a second pair. Sadly, I reclaimed this yarn from a frogged project and in the process lost the ball band. I can tell you it is oh so soft and oh so BRIGHT. This to me is the colorway of a tean-age girl's dreams come true. Whatever it is, I am so in love with this yarn.
Lets make a toast: To a lazy Sunday. While I have done small tasks like dishes and cooking, the majority of the day has been spent doing things I love. Hanging out in the garden, blogging, knitting. It has been the laziest of Sundays and that deserves a toast. Today, I am enjoying one of my favorite wines. Unless it is with a meal, I lean towards light and somewhat fruity wines and Barefoot Riesling is one I seek out regularly.
